The Honorable Amos Fletcher Tullis (1830-1900) was the
first mayor (1884-1887) of Chehalis, the county seat of Lewis County in
Washington Territory. He also served as sheriff, county commissioner, and as a
member of the upper house of the state legislative assembly. He was the
brother of James Wesley Tullis who was pictured on the cover of Tullis Trees,
